NOM Goes After Iowa – GLAD In Maine Stands Up

ImageImageThe infamous National Organization For Marriage has officially launched its Reclaim Iowa Project, which the organization calls a "multi-year campaign to pass a state constitutional amendment reversing last spring’s same-sex marriage ruling from the Iowa Supreme Court".

This, along with the current campaign waging in Maine, is a prime example of why our only long term victory has to be legislation on a federal level which prohibits states from allowing civil rights to be put to a vote of the people, just as Vickye Ashton recently wrote about on this very site. Either that, or we’re going to have to face going back and forth for years to come over our equal rights as American citizens.

Watch the NOM video below, then watch the latest video from GLAD , which is New England’s leading legal rights organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status and gender identity and expression. Their video presents the American way of thought and progress.
