Local Nightclub Deja Vu Forced Into Name Change

ImageImageDéjà vu is being forced to change the club’s name due to a United States Trademark that we were not aware of. We received notice from a company called Déjà vu Consulting, which owns a nationwide chain of adult strip clubs called Déjà vu Showgirls, and they are claiming exclusive rights to the name “Déjà vu”.

We are really disappointed that we are losing our name, but this is what can happen in the real world of business.

Our location at 708 N. Blackstone holds a significant historical value to the LGBT community in Fresno, and keeping that in mind Steve, myself and club management have decided to give the club the name it had throughout the 80’s and the 90’s and that is “The Express”. We ask your patience as we transition from Déjà vu to the Express and we will be quickly updating our Website and our My Space site. Even though we are changing our name, the community will continue to receive the same great service from the same great staff, actually nothing changes except our name.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Community again for their support all these years, we will be celebrating our sixth anniversary this coming March, watch for details.

Thank You – Lee, Steve, Malibu and the entire staff.
