Fresno Pride is right around the corner (Saturday, June 6th 10AM – 3PM) and we’re looking for people to join forces with Gay Central Valley (Gay Fresno, Gay Visalia, & Gay Hanford). We’re seeking individuals and groups who would like to:
JOIN US IN OUR PARADE ENTRY THIS YEAR
VOLUNTEER FOR BOOTH SET UP, ORGANIZATION AND SUPPORT
VOLUNTEER TO ASSSIT WITH OUTREACH TO THOSE ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL.
WORK WITH GAY CENTRAL VALLEY, MARRIAGE EQUALITY AND THE FRESNO LGBTQ SOCIAL GROUP AS THEY CANVAS THE FESTIVAL TO NETWORK
VOLUNTEER TO WRITE AN ARTICLE ABOUT THE PARADE AND FESTIVAL, OR TO INTERVIEW ATTENDEES, PERFORMERS, ORGANIZERS, VENDORS, ETC. ANY WRITTEN PIECES CONCERNING THE PARADE AND FESTIVAL ARE WELCOME. ARTICLES WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITES.
PHOTOGRAPH THE PARADE AND FESTIVAL AND HAVE YOUR PICTURES POSTED ON OUR WEBSITES.
There are no strict guidelines. Just contact us through our ABOUT US page on Gay Fresno and let us know what you’re interested in doing, and how much time you’d like to give. You can volunteer for an hour or for as long as you like. We’re also interested in hearing any creative ideas you may have regarding the Parade and Festival.
With the Supreme Court ruling on Prop 8 due out any day now, it’s more important than ever to mobilize our community, as well as to enjoy our time together at this year’s Pride Parade & Festival.
We are also in need of a flatbed trailer for the day of Pride which we can use for our parade entry. We’ll have a pickup and a hitch, so we just need the trailer. If anyone can assist us with this please contact us as soon as possible to make the arrangements.
