On the cold winter morning several dozen individuals were in attendance to protest AB 19.
The majority of attendees were from a church choir and other from outside the city of madera. Quite a few bible versus were read by speakers. At one point, speaker Benjamin Lopez was quoted as saying "gays are infiltrating our workplaces".
A passionate, vocal minority of counter protesters (pro AB 19) demonstrated in opposition to the groups message.
Media in attandance included: ABC Family, KGPE channel 47 and Madera newspaper and The Fresno Bee. In attandance (as pictured below) Jerry Thursten, Lisa Solomon, Leslie, Becki Jones of MECA Tulare, RJ Gray of GayFresno and HellDog.
