Clovis Unified School District board meeting
Clovis Unified School District has had an unwritten policy of requiring transgender and gender non-conforming students to obtain parental approval to access gender affirming services since March of 2023. This has prevented any student from accessing gender-affirming facilities, updating their name, and/or sports participation if a parent was not in attendance to sign off and agree. The required form was implemented without any public discussion or board vote.
