Sadly, too many people unjustly suffer because of the conflicts that they believe exist between their sexuality and spirituality.  Our goal is to offer a loving alternative to the many voices of religious persecution that are heard, sometimes on a daily basis.  Religious persecution of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender community creates self-hate, self-violence and hate crimes.

Saturday evening For the Bible Tells Me So, a film that offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity. will be shown, followed by a Q&A session and dessert fellowship led by Wendy Slack, speaker for Wesley Celebration (Wesley United Methodist Church’s LGBTIQ worship service).  Wendy Slack, a survivor of the anti-gay message of Dessert Streams and former lay pastor of an evangelical church in the valley, is the speaker for Wesley Celebration and happily married to her wife, Christa Lisbon.

On Sunday morning, Wesley Celebration will take leadership of both morning services (8:30 and 11:00).  Sarah Conway will lead live worship with the choir.  Sarah Conway, a former youth group worship leader, has been very active in the local LGBTIQ community, co-founded the LGBTIQ worship service Wesley Celebration, and is happy to have Rebecca Mendes as her wife.  Wendy Slack will speak in both services on the conference topic, A New Way.

On Sunday evening, Wesley Celebration, the bi-monthly LGBTIQ worship service offered by Wesley United Methodist Church, will meetVickie Armour-Healy, pastor of Wesley United Methodist, will be the guest speaker and bring a conclusion to the weekend’s topic, A New Way.
